Meal Plan: 12/07/15 – 18/07/15

Last week we managed to stick to the meal plan all the way up until Friday, when I just couldn’t face cooking so caved and picked up a couple of pizzas from Aldi. Otherwise we stuck to the plan completely.

A particular highlight was the Thai basil stir fry, which despite being cobbled together adaptation of a couple of recipes online was pretty delicious. I’ll work on posting a recipe for that, because it was very easy to throw together at the end of the working day.

Sunday’s luch was also delicious, and very simple indeed. I’ll work on a recipe for that too, possibly making it part of a weekly feature, but in the meantime here’s our meal plan for the coming week:

Sunday: Herby roast chicken, with braised green vegetables, roast carrots and potatoes
Monday: Leftover beef rendang with jasmine rice (with leftover braised green vegetables from Sunday on the side)
Tuesday: Tortellini in a broth made from the chicken carcass
Wednesday: Cobbled-together recipe for Thai green curry, using leftover chicken
Tursday: Chicken and prawn paella (carried over from last week)
Friday: Spaghetti bolognaise
Saturday: Sausage, mash and peas, served with onion gravy
