all past midnight parenting autism blog

Me (looking knackered), Wee Girl and Little Man, Look at her hand on his head (and not at me).

Hello there, and thank you for stopping by my blog.

I’m Alison and I am a mid-thirties stay-at-home-mum to two children, Wee Girl and Little Man. Wee Girl is pre-verbal and has autism, while Little Man is the sort of happy chatty little sod who gets into everything and sings at the top of his lungs — until the moment he makes eye contact with a stranger and he goes silent.

This blog is my personal space to share my experiences of parenting, Floortime, recipes, book reviews and whatever else takes my fancy. I’m learning about blogging, make-up, photography, how to live on a budget, and what it means to feel like an adult.

I’m chaotic, sweary, disorganised, snarky and cynical. I collect cookbooks with an almost compulsive passion, and I am fighting against my need to people-please. Don’t be fooled though; I am a strong believer in kindness, tolerance and the most misnamed attribute in the world ‘common sense’ (misnamed because it’s actually very rare).

Please feel free to leave a comment or follow me on one of the myriad of ways I can be followed. Every single comment and follow really does make my day.

I can also be contacted at allpastmidnight [at] outlook.com.
